On February 26, Full Sail University’s Black Student Union hosted a fashion show featuring the work of student stylists, centered on the theme of the past, present, and future of Black fashion.

Student artist Juriel opened the show with a live performance of original songs and choreography and got the crowd hyped for the night ahead. Then, the audience cheered as student models took to the runway and showed off their fits curated by student stylists, telling the story of Black fashion throughout the decades. The outfits spanned from African wax print dresses to urban streetwear.

Attendees enjoyed City BBQ, which catered the event, as they watched the fashion show. Live DJs kept the good vibes going and led impromptu karaoke with the audience during breaks.

A Black-owned clothing line, Le Douee, came in from Tampa to participate in the event by contributing original pieces to the fashion show, as well as a pop-up merch table with branded hats.

The night gave students the opportunity to express their creativity, connect with others, and celebrate Black culture.
