This summer saw exciting movie and television releases from Thunderbolts and Ironheart to How to Train Your Dragon, Superman, and Lilo & Stitch, and Full Sail University graduates contributed to these and more – working on various roles behind the scenes to help these stories come to life onscreen.

For example, 35 alumni performed key roles on Marvel’s miniseries Ironheart, such as Computer Animation grad Justin Johnson (Lead Artist) and Film grads Clarissa Mobley (Gang Boss), and Langston York (Lighting Technician).

Twenty-four grads also worked on another new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Thunderbolts. Film grad Cailey Kehoe (Set Decoration Production Assistant), Film Production MFA alum Tess Marshall (VFX On-Set Production Manager), and Computer Animation grad Cassidy Zafonte (VFX Coordinator) were just a few who contributed their skills to the star-studded hit.

Another superhero epic that included the work of Full Sail grads was Superman, which had 29 alumni credited, including Game Art grad Chelsea Goodchild (Fixtures Technician), plus Film grad Robert Laughlin and Computer Animation alum Alexander Unruh as Digital Artists.

Fourteen grads contributed to the live-action remake of the children’s classic Lilo & Stitch, such as Andrew Zink (Visual Effects Supervisor), Kathryn Fay (Stereo Compositor), and Dee Shelby (Foley Editor). Additionally, the latest film in the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World: Rebirth, had multiple alumni helping bring the reptilian flick to life: Computer Animation grads Javier Fernandez (Lead Digital Artist) and Erik Classen (Stereo Compositor), as well as Film grad Joe Fugallo (Assistant Crane Technician).

Other projects marked by Full Sail grads were F1, with Juan Peralta and Gary A. Rizzo as Re-recording Mixers and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning with the score mixed by Recording Arts grad Chris Fogel. How to Train Your Dragon and Karate Kid: Legends also had several grads in various roles.
