Filmmaking Concepts & Practices - In this course, students will explore the theory and practice of film production. Students will learn how to apply filmmaking concepts and theory to the practice of film production in terms of production design, cinematography, and film aesthetics.
Directing Talent - Students will investigate the unique roles and responsibilities of the film director. The course curriculum will examine the scope of a director's creative and operational tasks from pre-production, to the set, and through post-production.
Visual Storytelling Techniques & Technology - Students will explore a variety of interdisciplinary topics that inform the selection and use of filmmaking methods from fields such as physics, neuroscience, psychology, and the humanities.
