Full Sail University was recently included on MovieMaker magazine’s 2025 list of the 30 Best Film Schools in the US and Canada. The industry publication, which “is focused on the art and craft of movies and cinematic TV,” acknowledged Full Sail’s film programs alongside other notable schools.

When creating the list, MovieMaker prioritized schools that offered practical film education, saying “Many excellent schools teach film history and theory, but the ones on this list especially highlight hands-on filmmaking experience.”

Full Sail’s Film & Television degree programs give students a hands-on education, teaching them to use industry-standard equipment in facilities that mimic what they’d encounter in the real world.

Full Sail appeared on the list along with schools like New York University, Columbia University, Savannah College of Art and Design, and more.
