Recording Arts Grads & Hall of Fame Inductees Win 2025 Hamilton Behind the Camera Award

The Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards honor remarkable achievements in categories like Director, Score, Production Design, Screenwriting, Editing, and more. Full Sail Recording Arts grads and Hall of Fame inductees Juan Peralta and Gary Rizzo were honored at the 2025 awards with a win in the Sound category for their work on F1.

Juan and Gary, who both work at Skywalker Sound, were Re-recording Mixers on F1. The Sound award was presented to them by F1’s director, Joseph Kosinski, at the awards ceremony in Los Angeles on November 5.

Both of the grads have spent decades working on audio for movies. Juan is credited on more than 100 movies, including Avengers: Infinity War and Thor: Ragnarok; Gary has worked on hundreds of films and earned two Oscars for Best Sound Editing for Dunkirk and Inception. Their win at the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards is yet another acknowledgement of their exceptional contributions to the film industry.
