Alberto Pisani has worked in various roles at the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and other major events.

Full Sail grad Alberto “Albo” Pisani got his first job at 17 when he helped organize a music and art festival in his native Italy. Since then, he’s learned four languages while traveling the globe to help plan and manage logistics for major events from the Olympic Games to the FIFA World Cup.

Alberto first attended a university in Italy but says the program was too focused on theory versus learning practical skills. He had always had dreams of studying in the U.S. and knew about Full Sail University through his work trips to Orlando. He decided to return to college in his late 20s after choosing the Sports Marketing & Media bachelor’s program. He completed the first part of his studies online before moving to Florida for classes on campus.

Get as much experience as possible [early on]. Be useful, teachable, and approachable. If you have the right attitude, are polite, and work hard, people will remember and recommend you.”

“I was looking for something that allowed me to work at the same time and [that was] specific to sports, but I didn't want to spend four years [in school],” Alberto recalls. “Full Sail had an [educational] approach that was suitable for me. It was like a dream come true for me… I was really excited to be there.”

He enjoyed how easy it was to connect with his instructors for support and says they brought a wealth of knowledge and professional connections to the classroom. In fact, he still keeps in touch with many of them to this day.

Prior to studying at Full Sail, Alberto was just 19 when he got to work as a volunteer at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. Since graduating in 2017, numerous doors have opened in his career. He currently works for the Citec Group, an international engineering firm, as a Large Events Project Manager under the company Playground Italia. This company is dedicated to mobility and transportation for major events. His roles have involved everything from managing shuttle systems to coordinating VIP operations to developing the overall transportation & mobility plan for major international events. It was at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris when the magnitude of his role truly sunk in.

“Once the arrivals were over, I stood by the buses heading to the Opening Ceremony. In that moment, I realized I was exactly where I wanted to be, that one of my dreams had come true.”

He has also provided support to several renditions of the Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando, Expo 2020 in Dubai, the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the 2023 Ryder Cup in Rome, and the 2025 Winter FISU Games and 2025 Special Olympics World Winter Games, both in Turin. Another memorable event for Alberto was the 2025 Jubilee of Youth event in Rome, where he helped manage the internal pedestrian and vehicle flows with over 1 million visitors and 1,000 vehicles. His latest role was as a Senior Transport Advisor at the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan Cortina, two decades after his very first international experience at the 2006 Winter Games.

According to Alberto, there are two main aspects of his job he likes tackling.

“I enjoy fixing problems and managing people,” he shares. “I believe that there is always a solution… we just need to find it as a team. I really like leading the people I’m entrusted with to be the best they can be.”

When his schedule allows, Alberto loves the opportunity to return to Full Sail’s campus to meet and share his experience with new generations of students. Based on his own professional journey, he offers up some important strategies for students on how to break into the industry and move up the ladder.
