Sportscasting Grad Selected for Mastercard Gamer Academy
Mia Eremita was selected from thousands of applicants for Mastercard’s year-long esports program powered by G2 Esports and Riot Games.

Twitch streamer and content creator Mia Eremita graduated from Full Sail’s Sportscasting program with one goal: to become a professional in the esports industry. And less than two years removed from graduation, Mia is already making significant strides toward esports stardom.
Known online as MiaMouse, the Sportscasting alum boasts nearly 14,000 subscribers on the streaming platform Twitch and more than 100,000 followers on TikTok. To top it off, she was recently selected from thousands of applicants for the Mastercard Gamer Academy, a year-long crash course in all things esports.
“I know everyone who applied was probably so talented, so I thought for a second, ‘Why me? What set me apart?’” asks Mia.
“But I think the hard work paid off. I think putting myself out there nonstop – I mean, my whole entire life feels like it's documented online at this point – so I think the more I put myself out there, the luckier I became.”
In affiliation with G2 Esports and Riot Games, the program is divided into three pillars – professional gaming, organization, and broadcast and media – and annually selects only 10 applicants from across the globe to join. Academy selectees are then given the opportunity to connect weekly with industry professionals via video conference and attend three large-scale trips, each focused on one of the program’s three pillars.
Mia, selected for her work in broadcast and media, recently returned from a trip to Berlin, where she and the rest of the selectees visited G2 HQ, the base of operations for professional esports organization G2 Esports.
“This was the first time I traveled out of the country by myself, so it was definitely a little stressful. I had a thousand travel documents,” shares Mia. “But the city itself was beautiful. While I was there, I met the CEO of G2 Esports. I met a bunch of people who worked under G2, whether it was video editors or the League of Legends team.”
With two more trips on the horizon – one to Vancouver for the League of Legends 2025 Mid-Season Invitational and another to Paris for Valorant Champions 2025 – Mia is looking forward to continuing to learn about all of the moving parts in the world of esports.
“One person in the program could be super passionate about professional gaming and know every single little thing about professional gaming, and it makes you feel like, ‘Wow, I have so much more to learn, and I already thought I learned so much.’ But I'm learning so many new things, meeting so many new people, and just cherishing every moment with them,” she says.
Talking to Mia, it's clear to see that her success isn’t lost on her. “My first year, I streamed every single day for a full year to only two viewers. And I sat my parents down and I said, ‘This is what I want to do for the rest of my life.’ And they kind of chuckled a little bit because I had a gaming laptop, I had a headset with the mic attached to the headset, and I had a folding table and a folding chair in my attic,” she shares, recalling her humble beginnings.
Additionally, she says that her time at Full Sail was pivotal in helping her achieve her current level of success.
“Sportscasting definitely helped me with confidence… And everyone [at Full Sail], they all taught me a specific lesson that I needed to hear, whether I wanted to hear it or not.
“And when I joined Armada, it was like a whole other world opened up for me. I met so many fun people in Armada, and so many opportunities opened up because I joined. Just all of those events, they really built me into who I am as a broadcaster.”
