On February 8, Full Sail University students got together at the Full Sail Live venue to watch the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots compete against each other in the final game of the NFL playoffs, and, of course, Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated halftime show.

Students could choose which side of the venue to sit depending on who they were rooting for: green and blue lights for the Seahawks shone on one side, and blue and red lights for the Patriots on the other. Many dressed in jerseys to show support for their team.

In one corner, a photo booth with game day-themed props allowed students the opportunity to capture memories, and giant Jenga, Connect Four, and cornhole kept attendees entertained during commercial breaks. In another corner, students could play virtual football on a gaming console as they watched the big game. Students also enjoyed free pizza, snacks, soda, and cookies while cheering on the players.

Faculty and students from the Sports Marketing & Media department facilitated the event, including onsite set-up of the venue, event management during the game, and post-event cleanup. Sportscasting students also emceed the event and hosted giveaways throughout the night, featuring prizes like a Meta Quest 3S VR headset.

“The Big Game Celebration brought students together for a fun, high-energy night filled with food, prizes, games, and shared moments,” said RaeLynn McAfee, Program Director for Sports Marketing & Media. “Students across all degrees got to relax, connect, and share the excitement as one campus community.”
