The Pie Day Tradition Continues at Full Sail
The annual celebration once again brought students, staff, and faculty together to enjoy a slice of pie, connect with others, and celebrate the holiday season.
On December 3, the Student Community Association hosted Full Sail’s Pie Day celebration. The annual campus event invited students, staff, and faculty to come together and share a midday sweet treat.
Pie Day – which has been a Full Sail tradition for more than 20 years – featured long tables full of slices of pumpkin, pecan, apple, and sweet potato pie, as well as cheesecake. At two different patios on campus, holiday music played as Full Sail staff members served up slices with a smile and a dollop of whipped cream. To complement the dessert, hot coffee was also available.
Attendees included students, staff, and faculty, who got the chance to enjoy a break in their day to connect with others and get a taste of the holiday season.
“Pie Day is a fun way to bring everyone together to celebrate the upcoming holiday season and wish everyone well,” said Amy Clark, Student Resource Manager and the host of Pie Day. “I love being part of this event because I get to see the smiles from the students from shared memories of growing up, holiday traditions, or the last time they had a piece of pie. [Those who come out] are always so appreciative.”
