Culley Bunker
Culley Bunker is the founder and lead visual effects artist at Skulley FX, a fully remote, next-generation post-production studio known for its award-nominated artistry and cutting-edge digital workflows. For over two decades, Culley has been at the intersection of art and technology crafting emotionally resonant visuals for film, television, and music while continually evolving how high-end VFX is produced.
After graduating from Full Sail's Digital Media program in 1998, Culley took a post-production internship in Miami before moving out to Hollywood and growing his client list at the Post Group and Base 2 Studios.
He founded his own studio – Skulley FX – shortly after, where he and his team cater to range of filmmaking needs.
Recognizing the industry’s shift toward flexible, global production models, Culley has transitioned Skulley FX into a fully remote studio, maintaining the precision and collaborative intimacy of a boutique facility while embracing cloud-enabled workflows, secure data infrastructure, and AI-driven toolchains. This evolution positions the company to deliver feature-level visual effects with unprecedented speed, scalability, and creative control.
Beyond traditional VFX, Culley is spearheading Skulley FX’s Digital Human and AI Studio initiative, developing pipelines that integrate Houdini, Unreal Engine, Marvelous Designer, and next-gen AI systems to advance photoreal digital-double, de-aging, and performance-replication workflows. These new capabilities allow Skulley FX to blend real and synthetic performances seamlessly expanding the boundaries of visual storytelling while preserving artistic intent and ethical authorship.
