Grant Shonkwiler
Grant Shonkwiler landed his first position in the video game industry immediately after graduation when he joined up with AMI Entertainment/MegaTouch Games as a game programmer. Soon after his start he moved up to lead designer; after three years with the company, he had shipped well over 50 titles. In 2011, Grant joined id Software, first as a technical producer on the multiplayer team for Rage, and then as a producer on the Doom franchise. In 2014, he went on to Epic Games, contributing to the Fortnite and Battle Breakers projects as a producer. Today, Grant runs his own consulting company, working on both AAA and indie titles, and is the co-author of four books including Gear Up: Advanced Game Development Practices. Grant has shipped 75 games, with no intentions of slowing down.
