Tell us about your job at the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation.

As Manager of Digital & Social Media, I oversee the Foundation’s digital presence – from social strategy and content creation to storytelling that connects our programs with audiences across Latin America and beyond. My role focuses on amplifying the impact of the Foundation’s initiatives – scholarships, educational programs, and grants – while highlighting how music education transforms lives.

What does your typical day-to-day work involve?

No two days are ever the same, which is one of the things I love most about this job. A typical day might involve planning campaigns for an upcoming program, coordinating with designers and video editors, writing copy for social media, managing content calendars, reviewing analytics, and collaborating with partners or artists to tell meaningful stories through our digital platforms.

There are also days focused on production – overseeing content capture during our events, aligning with photographers and videographers, and ensuring that everything we create reflects the Foundation’s mission and tone. Other times, I’m developing new strategies to strengthen engagement, reviewing data to understand what resonates most with our audience, or brainstorming creative ways to highlight our programs across regions and languages. It’s a dynamic role that blends creativity, organization, and collaboration, and that’s what makes every day exciting.

Tell us about how your Full Sail experience helps you in your current role.

Full Sail gave me a strong foundation in both the creative and strategic sides of digital communication. The hands-on learning environment taught me how to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and think creatively across media. Full Sail truly gave me the wings to dream and to fly. Being surrounded by a multicultural class opened my mind and taught me how to collaborate with people from all kinds of backgrounds. Working on sets under pressure and alongside highly skilled technical teams helped me develop a strong sense of creativity, discipline, and problem-solving.

Earning my master’s in Film Production not only strengthened my technical knowledge, but also gave me the confidence and skills to oversee complex projects from start to finish. That combination of creative vision and practical execution has been key in my current role – where I get to blend storytelling, production, and digital strategy every day.

What was your experience like as an international student at Full Sail?

Being an international student at Full Sail was truly transformative. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me the chance to collaborate with people from all over the world who shared the same passion for creativity. The diversity of perspectives not only broadened my cultural understanding but also shaped the way I approach storytelling today – with empathy, inclusion, and authenticity.

What has been one of the most memorable projects you've worked on while at the Latin GRAMMY Cultural Foundation?

One of the most memorable projects has been the Latin GRAMMY Scholarship Ceremony, where we celebrate students who receive full-tuition scholarships to some of the best music schools in the world. Seeing how our digital storytelling can amplify those life-changing moments – and connect audiences with the real impact of music education – is deeply rewarding.

Another project that truly stands out is the Fireside Chat, which was the first time the Foundation hosted this type of event. I was involved from the very beginning – from developing the look and feel, to creating the social media and content recording plan. Watching it all come to life, seeing people travel from around the world to be part of it, and later witnessing the excitement shared on social media was incredibly fulfilling. It was one of those moments where you could really feel the global reach and emotional impact of what we do.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part is being able to tell stories that matter – stories about young musicians whose dreams are becoming reality thanks to the Foundation. Knowing that our content helps inspire others, while also preserving and promoting Latin music, makes every campaign meaningful.

Beyond that, I truly feel blessed that this is my job – helping Latin American dreamers and lovers of Latin music. I see myself reflected in them, and that connection fills me with joy and purpose every single day.

What advice would you share for students interested in a career like yours?

Stay curious and learn every aspect of digital media – from storytelling and analytics to emerging platforms. Build genuine relationships, and don’t be afraid to start small; every project teaches you something. Also, keep learning as much as you can – don’t limit yourself to just one area of expertise. The more you know, the better opportunities you’ll have. People look for problem-solvers, not problem-makers. Most importantly, find the “why” behind what you do. When your work has purpose, it shows in every post, every campaign, and every story you share.
