Jonathan Mayer
Jonathan is a recording engineer, composer, and music producer who started his career in the music industry as an engineer and producer more than 25 years ago. He made the transition to the gaming industry in 2005 when he composed the score for the game Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror. During that production, Jonathan began to work full-time as a music producer at Playstation, and went on to help build the video game industry's leading music production team. After more than 12 years with Sony and over 30 game titles as a music lead, Jonathan joined the Facebook Sound Design team as their Music Production Manager. While there, he led another dynamic music team for four years, creating iconic immersive music experiences for Oculus, Facebook, and Instagram. In 2021, Jonathan founded Spider Farm Productions with the goal of sharing his passion for music and technical innovation with creators eager to collaborate and push the boundaries of interactive experiences. Jonathan has contributed his music production skills to over 50 game releases including some of the industry’s most iconic franchises such as Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War, Infamous, Call of Duty, Spider-Man, Sly Cooper, Mass Effect, and many more.
